Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 11 May 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of invoicemakerfree.co.uk (the "Service"), a free online tool that lets you create, save, share and download invoices as PDFs. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service is provided by the operator of invoicemakerfree.co.uk ("we", "us", "our"). Questions: hello@invoicemakerfree.co.uk.

2. The Service

The Service lets you fill in invoice details, preview the result, and download it as a PDF. You can optionally create an account to save invoices and generate a shareable link (with an optional PIN) so your customers can view and download the invoice.

The Service is provided free of charge and funded by advertising (Google AdSense). We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

4. Accounts

  • You can use the invoice maker without an account. An account is only needed to save invoices and generate share links.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time by contacting us; this will delete your saved invoices.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or attempt to harm other users.

5. Your content

"Your Content" means anything you enter or upload — business and customer details, line items, prices, notes, logos, signatures, and any saved invoices.

  • You own Your Content. We don't claim ownership of your invoices.
  • You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you and the people you share an invoice link with.
  • You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Your Content, including the right to use any logos, trademarks or personal data of others (e.g. your customers).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create fraudulent, deceptive or misleading invoices, or impersonate another person or business.
  • Issue invoices for illegal goods or services, money laundering, or tax evasion.
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or any other right of a third party.
  • Upload malware, attempt to break security, scrape the site, or interfere with other users.
  • Use the share-link feature to distribute harmful, abusive, or unlawful material.

We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.

7. Shared invoice links

When you create a share link, anyone with that link can view and download the invoice (and any PIN you set acts as an additional gate, not strong security). You're responsible for who you share the link with. We're not liable for invoices shared with the wrong recipient.

8. PDFs and invoice accuracy

The Service generates PDFs from the data you enter. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legal compliance of every invoice you create, including correct VAT/tax numbers, rates, currency, payment terms, and any country-specific invoicing requirements. The Service is a formatting tool, not legal, accounting or tax advice.

9. Advertising

We display ads via Google AdSense to keep the Service free. Ads load only after you accept the advertising cookies in the cookie banner. We don't endorse advertised products and aren't responsible for their content. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising data.

10. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its design, code, text, logos and trademarks — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service without permission. You may, of course, freely use the invoices you create.

11. Availability and changes

We try hard to keep the Service available, but we don't guarantee uptime or that it will be free from bugs. We may update, change or remove features at any time. We may also schedule maintenance that briefly interrupts access.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that invoices generated by the Service will be accepted by any tax authority, accounting system, or counterparty.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:

  • indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages;
  • loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data;
  • disputes between you and a customer or recipient of an invoice; or
  • losses arising from inaccurate invoice content, missed tax obligations, or third-party services (including Google AdSense, OAuth providers, and our hosting providers).

Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to £50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and losses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

15. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licence for already-shared invoices, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
